Tablets and Smartphones: Using Mobile Devices as Educational Tools | Florence I Erasmus+ KA1 (12th -19th June 2022)

13 de Junho, 2022

Our teachers and the other participants were introduced to the course (and to the external week activities) in a great welcoming meeting. They talked about their individual expectations and answered to the question “What technologies do you use in your classroom?”, since the main aim of this one week-course is to learn how to integrate educational apps into teaching practice and acquire a general overview of the many educational possibilities of using educational apps and experiment the motivational dimension brought to the classroom when using them.
As we are all aware of, apps are an essential part of the 21st-century classroom and provide many opportunities for higher-level thinking in classrooms. So, the expectations are high since, by the end of the course, our teachers will be able to confidently integrate a variety of educational apps into their lesson plans, providing students with the best learning experience.
This session included pair and group work activities with the other participants (from Spain, Hungary, Slovenia, and Norway) on how to use the platform Padlet (it is a digital canvas to create stunning projects that are easy to share and collaborate on) and the presentations of the participants’ schools in a very friendly and cosy environment.
By the way, all the teachers got a welcome gift: a cotton tote bag and a notebook. In the afternoon, the Europass Teacher Academy provided a cultural visit: a walking tour to Florence’s rich history, culture, and cuisine. Thanks to the host! ❤️
