<\/a>A forma\u00e7\u00e3o \u201cStudent-centered learning and 21st century skills” continua a desenvolver-se. No terceiro dia,  foi tempo de visitar a escola Sotunki, nos arredores de Hels\u00ednquia, onde o contacto direto com alunos e professores proporcionou um conhecimento real das caracter\u00edsticas do sistema educativo finland\u00eas, das suas virtudes e dos seus problemas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ainda no mesmo dia, participaram num workshop sobre  motiva\u00e7\u00e3o, \u201cgrowth mindset\u201d e emo\u00e7\u00f5es. Tamb\u00e9m foi feita uma apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o sobre a forma como se abordam as quest\u00f5es das necessidades educativas espec\u00edficas e o aconselhamento vocacional, sendo notadas pelos nossos participantes as diferen\u00e7as em rela\u00e7\u00e3o a Portugal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No quarto dia, viajaram para a floresta de Kuusij\u00e4rvi onde, numa acolhedora cabana, foram trabalhadas estrat\u00e9gias de discuss\u00e3o. \u00c0 tarde, foi tempo de vivenciar a magn\u00edfica experi\u00eancia da sauna seguida por um mergulho num lago gelado (para os mais corajosos!). Para terminar, um barbecue numa cabana, com comida e bebida t\u00edpica e muita alegria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deep delving into Finland – part 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the icy cold but rather friendly Finnish lands, the on-going process of valuable learning continues for the Portuguese teachers Ana Rita Correia, Armindo Serra, Carmo Martins, Teresa Ramos and Sandra Silva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course \u201cStudent-centered learning and 21st century skills\u201d went on with its third-day programme. The teachers from Portugal and Norway were taken to Sotunki school, in suburban Helsinki. Being in direct contact with students and teachers provided real insight into concrete features of the Finnish education system, its key strengths and weaknesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the same day, the teachers participated in a workshop about motivation, growth mindset and emotions. There were also formal presentations about special needs education and guidance counselling. Differences between the Finnish and Portuguese approach to these subjects were highlighted by our participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On day 4, all the participants travelled to Kuusij\u00e4rvi Natural Park. Inside a cosy forest hut, the course trainer presented discussion strategies. After lunch, everyone enjoyed the very popular and extremely hot sauna, which according to tradition is always followed by dipping into the freezing lake (only for the bravest!). Finally, the authentic Finnish experience wouldn\u2019t be complete without a barbecue inside a birch wood hut, with a huge fireplace in the centre, plenty of traditional food, drinks and lots of funny moments.<\/p>\n\n\n
